Wood processing company Gaujas Koks raises turnover 1.7 times in 2021

RIGA, July 22 (LETA) - Logging and wood processing company Gaujas Koks posted EUR 127.876 million in turnover last year, which is 1.7 times more than in 2020, while the company's profit increased fivefold up to EUR 33.476 million, according to Firmas.lv.

The company's annual report says that the increase in turnover was facilitated by the general growth of construction activity, which prompted sales prices.

Thanks to systematic investments, the company was able to ensure consistently high market demand by improving productivity of its existing production lines.

In the meantime, by increasing output by 20 percent as compared to 2020 - up to 85 percent of the total production capacity, Gaujas Koks managed to achieve the highest profit in the company's history.
