RIGA, July 21 (LETA) - As the Covid-19 infection rate in Latvia increases, the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (PSKUS) is evaluating the need to limit the flow of patient visitors again, Janita Veinberga, the head of the hospital's Communication Department, told LETA.

ccording to her statement, the hospital has noticed an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, and data is currently being collected on how many Covid-19 patients are in the hospital - both with infection as their main diagnosis and as a secondary diagnosis.

Veinberga emphasized that the hospital's priority is patient safety. Taking into account that various festivals and concerts are currently taking place, visitors or relatives of patients may not know that they have been infected with Covid-19.
