RIGA, May 23 (LETA) - On assessing intelligence and identified risks, the State Security Service has advised the Riga local authority against authorizing a march Latvia's Russian Union (LKS) is planning to stage in Riga this Saturday in protest to the possible dismantling of a monument to the Soviet Army in Pardaugava.

s LETA was told at the State Security Service, analysis of information suggests that if it was allowed to go ahead, the LKS march would only increase risks to Latvia's democratic system, basic principles of democracy and national security interests, as well as would foster divisions in Latvia's society.
