Vice Speaker of Ukrainian Parliament grateful for the support of the Latvian people for refugees

RIGA, May 10 (LETA) - While visiting the Common Ground Center for Social Initiative, Culture and Support established in Riga's Andrejsala, Olena Kondratyuk, Deputy Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, thanked the people of Latvia for their support of Ukrainian refugees, Inese Dabola, the initiative coordinator, told LETA.

While taking a tour of the center, Kondratyuk expressed support for the established initiative and thanked all Latvians for the great support given to Ukraine during the war and the thousands of refugees who have sought refuge in Latvia.

lso during the visit, Kondratyuk talked with some Ukrainians at the center, listening to their experiences. This time, Ukrainian bandurist Darina Leleko and pianist Oleksiy Bochko performed at the center, and both artists have come to Latvia in search of asylum.

The Common Ground Center for Social Initiative, Culture and Support was set up at Andrejosta Street 27 in just a few weeks in response to Russia's war in Ukraine on February 24...
