Valmieras Stikla Skiedra's turnover increases 8.8% in 2021

RIGA, Aug 2 (LETA) - Fiberglass producer Valmieras Stikla Skiedra posted EUR 90.526 million in turnover last year, which is 8.8 percent more than in 2020, and made a profit of EUR 4.497 million in contrast to a loss the company suffered in 2020, according to Firmas.lv.

Valmieras Stikla Skiedra Group's turnover amounted to EUR 104.578 million last year, up 9.1 percent on 2020, while the group's profit decreased 23.2 percent to EUR 5.289 million.

The company's annual report says that 2021 was a second year of the Covid-19 global pandemic and Covid-19 measures on a national, European and global scale, which caused uncertainty regarding the demand on sales markets and availability of raw materials and transport.
