Ukrainian President Zelensky to address Saeima on Thursday

RIGA, May 25 (LETA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address Latvian lawmakers by videolink during a Saeima session this Thursday, LETA was told at the Saeima press office.

The Ukrainian president will make the address to the Saeima at the invitation of Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece (National Alliance). The speech will be made remotely and broadcast live on the Latvian parliament's website.

"Despite the war and being personally under threat, Ukraine's political leadership continues to work tirelessly. Mutual understanding, political and also practical cooperation between Latvia and Ukraine are as close as ever. That is because we share a common goal - Ukraine's victory over evil which is currently tearing deep wounds in the European continent," the Saeima speaker said.
