RIGA, May 9 (LETA) - Ukraine's victory is a precondition for sustainable peace in Europe, Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece (National Alliance) said today during a meeting with Olena Kondratiuk, Deputy Chairwoman of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, as Saeima Press Service informed LETA.

"Ukraine's complete victory, its independence and full restoration of its territorial integrity is in our interest. This is a precondition for sustainable peace in Europe," Murniecec said during the meeting.

The two officials discussed support for Ukraine in three dimensions - political, practical and moral. "The developments in Ukraine are changing history all over Europe and the world. New concepts are emerging much more clearly in politics and in our lives. We see that in today's world, there is a place for heroism, we need to be able to take the right side, to choose what values we will protect," said Murniece.
