Turnover of Aldaris brewery down 2.8% in 2021

RIGA, July 28 (LETA) - Latvia's Aldaris brewery closed 2021 with EUR 21.568 million in turnover, which dropped 2.8 percent from a year before, while the company's loss decreased by 26.7 percent to EUR 2.077 million, according to information available at Firmas.lv.

The company's management said in the annual report that last year Aldaris sold 38.2 million liters of beer in Latvia, which is 2 percent less than a year before. The company commanded 26.4 percent of the Latvian beer market.

The company's management indicated that last year the brewery's plans were affected by the trade restrictions introduced because of the Covid-19 pandemic and vague prognoses about their duration. The Covid-19 restrictions hit first of all the HoReCa sector and various large public...
