Tet telecommunications group plans to invest more than EUR 21 million in development of internet network

RIGA, Aug 4 (LETA) - Tet technologies group plans to invest more than EUR 21 million this year in development of internet network and services.

The company said that Tet is building connections of 100 GB per second in Riga and Jelgava, as well as investing in protection against external attacks.

ccording to the company, data consumption has increased by more than 13 percent this year.

Tet board chairman Uldis Tatarcuks said that construction of optical networks has increased in the world, especially in regions because stable and powerful internet is one of the basic needs today.

Without planned and considerate investments we risk lagging behind, therefore this year's investments will be bigger than last year, said Tatarcuks.
