Terauda hopes Development/For might name candidate for interior minister at the start of next week

Political alliance Development/For might propose their nominee for Latvia's next interior minister at the beginning of next week, MP Vita Anda Terauda (Development/For) told LETA.

Terauda, who is a board member of Development/For, said that neither the alliance's board nor its group in the Saeima have started discussions on possible candidates. Development/For is planning to meet soon to address the matter, but Terauda does not think that a ministerial candidate might be offered to Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) already this Thursday.

Asked whether the candidate will be picked from members of the Movement For! or from Development of Latvia, Terauda said that there have not been discussions about this question either.
