Tele2 turnover increases 5.9% in H1

RIGA, July 19 (LETA) - Mobile network operator Tele2 posted EUR 74.9 million in turnover in January-June, an increase of 5.9 percent on the first half of 2021, as Tele2 public relations officer in Latvia Oskars Firmanis told LETA.

The company's EBITDAal, or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization, and after leases, in the first half-year stood at EUR 30 million, which is 9 percent more than in the first half of 2021.

In the second quarter of the year, Tele2 turnover amounted to EUR 38.3 million, a 6.7 percent increase on the second quarter of 2021, while the company's EBITDAaL grew 8 percent to EUR 15.4 million.

Firmanis also said that the company's investments in the development of mobile network and services in the first half-year amounted to EUR 5.2 million, which is 81 percent more than in the same period last year, including almost EUR 4 million invested in the second quarter, which is 2.5 times more than in the second quarter of 2021.
