Tax debts in Latvia total EUR 1.096 billion in early July

RIGA, July 20 (LETA) - At the beginning of July 2022, tax debts in Latvia totaled EUR 1.091 billion, which is an increase of 1.6 percent against June and an increase of 4.9 percent against the beginning of the year, according to the information released by the State Revenue Service (VID).

This total includes current and suspended debts as well as debts with extended payment deadlines.

Tax debts to the central government basic budget stood at EUR 575.457 million, up 0.6 percent month-on-month, tax debts to local government budgets came to EUR 307.594 million, up 3.8 percent, while overdue social security contributions equaled EUR 212.875 million, up 1.5 percent.
