RIGA, Aug 3 (LETA) - Some entrepreneurs may not be fully aware that in the current circumstances, a contract does not provide a 100 percent guarantee that energy will be delivered, Liga Mengelsone, director general of the Latvian Employers Confederation (LDDK), told LETA.

She also indicated that LDDK is calling on the Economics Ministry to make sure there is enough energy supplies for Latvia's businesses.

"The issue of energy supplies for the coming season, especially ensuring an uninterrupted production process at energy-intensive enterprises, becomes increasingly pressing. Uncertainty prevails in some companies. This reflects in the business sentiment and decisions on development and growth, which are hampering economic activity in the already complicated geopolitical situation," said Mengelsone.
