Shipping of rail freight in Latvia up 17.6% in H1

RIGA, July 18 (LETA) - In January-June 2022, shipping of rail freight in Latvia increased by 17.6 percent against the same period a year ago, amounting to 12.23 million tons, according to the Transport Ministry's data.

International rail freight grew 19.7 percent from the first six months of 2021 to 11.589 million tons in January-June 2022, while domestic rail freight was down 10.7 percent to 641,000 tons.
