Shipping of rail freight in Latvia up 20.3% in four months

In January-April 2022, shipping of rail freight in Latvia increased by 20.3 percent against the same period a year ago, amounting to 9.066 million tons, according to the Transport Ministry's data.

International rail freight grew 22.8 percent from the first four months of 2021 to 8.639 million tons in January-April 2022, while domestic rail freight was down 14.8 percent to 427,000 tons.
