Several people from Ukraine admitted to Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital with injuries suffered in the war in Ukraine

RIGA, May 5 (LETA) Several people from Ukraine have been admitted to the Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedics, as the hospital's representative Dagnija Dizbite told LETA.

ccording to Dizbite, two of the patients are soldiers and the others are civilians who sustained injuries in the war in Ukraine. All are in stable condition but will require lengthy treatment.

They were delivered to Riga with the permission of the Ukrainian authorities and by medical transport provided by private institutions.

The Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital is planning to offer treatment to a certain number of Ukrainian civilians and military personnel, but it is still unknown how many such patients will be admitted to the hospital, and for what periods of time, said the hospital's chief physician Ugis Zarins.
