Security Service wants three persons prosecuted for supporting Russia's aggression against Ukraine

RIGA, Aug 4 (LETA) - The State Security Service has transferred three criminal proceedings to the prosecutor's office for prosecution of persons charged with supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine, LETA learned from the Security Service.

One criminal case has been started in accordance with the Criminal Law's section on crimes against peace and glorification of war crimes. The person came to the Security Service's attention shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine as he expressed support for Russian aggression against Ukraine and its people in comments published on the Internet.

The other criminal case was opened in accordance with the Criminal Law's section on incitement to ethnic hatred and discord. According to information obtained during the Security Service's investigation, a person sent emails to the Ukrainian Embassy in Riga, in which he expressed intolerance, hatred and aggression toward the people of Ukraine, including the embassy...
