Saeima rejects 0% VAT rate on basic foods proposed by Greens/Farmers

RIGA, May 12 (LETA) - The Saeima today rejected a bill proposed by the Union of Greens and Farmers and calling for a zero percent value added tax (VAT) rate on basic food products and scrapping a biofuel blending requirement.
