Replacement of economics minister is irresponsible decision in present situation - business organization

At the time of the growing economic crisis and complications caused by the war, the decision on replacement of Economics Minister Janis Vitenbergs (National Alliance) who is in charge of solving a number of important issues right now, is irresponsible, said representatives of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

LCCI said that the economics minister is in charge of a number of important issues, such as the energy crisis and development of alternative energy sources, and solution to these problems will largely determine the way Latvian residents will live next heating season and how consequences of Russia's war in Ukraine will be overcome. Replacement of the minister is political irresponsibility as it will delay completion of the priority tasks.
