Puce is confident that current government coalition could continue work until elections

RIGA, May 16 (LETA) - Juris Puce, the Saeima group chairman for For Development/For, is confident that the current coalition still can find common ground and work together until the Saeima elections.

Puce, asked in an interview by the Latvian public radio to comment on the National Alliance's demand for interior Minister Marija Golubeva (For Development/For) to step down, repeated that it is an irresponsible attempt to destabilize the government shortly before the elections in order to win public favor. The politician believes that this is not the right moment to do it.

He also said that now it is the responsibility of Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) to find how to solve the situation and not comply with political ultimatums, otherwise it will soon lead to new ultimatums.
