Police to maintain order during today's march against Soviet-era monuments according to plan

RIGA, May 20 (LETA) - Police in collaboration with security services have worked out a plan for maintaining public order during today's Getting Rid of Soviet Legacy march in Riga, LETA was told at the State Police.

Police will involve in the operation large reinforcements from various law enforcement units and will work with security services in accordance with a prepared plan.

Police said that participants of the march are warned not to approach the Soviet-era monument in Victory Park or any other memorial of to the Soviet Army. The law enforcement authorities are also urging people to refrain from unlawful activities targeting people...
