Persons Who Blinded Helicopter Pilots With Laser Beam Will Be Found and Punished Defense Minister
RIGA, Feb 26 (LETA) Persons who blinded helicopter pilots of the National Armed Forces with a laser beam will be punished, said Defense Minister Artis Pabriks (For Development/For) in an interview with commercial LNT television today.
The minister said that the incident is a villainy, not just fooling around because it might have ended with a serious accident. The minister is sure that the guilty persons will be found and punished.
The National Armed Forces helicopter last Friday and Saturday was assisting in transportation of seriously ill patients from Daugavpils to Riga. During both flights, helicopter pilots were dazzled with a bright green laser beam...
