Over 1,000 people come out to view military parade in Saldus

RIGA, May 4 (LETA) - Today, more than 1,000 people viewed the military parade in Saldus dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the restoration of Latvia's independence.
President Egils Levits and Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks (For Development) were also in attendance.
In his address, Pabriks pointed out that it is not always common to think about how fragile freedom really is. As can be seen in Ukraine and elsewhere, freedom can be challenged at any time, the politician noted, emphasizing that freedom is best protected when together.
