Number of flights handled by Latvian air traffic controller LGS up two times in first four months

RIGA, May 6 (LETA) - Latvian air traffic controller Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme (LGS), which is responsible for managing air traffic in Latvia, handled 60,939 flights in January-April 2022, up two times from the same period a year ago, the company said.

The January-April figure included 15,419 flights to and from Riga, up 2.6 times year-on-year, and 45,520 transit flights, up 86.6 from January-April 2021.
