Number of Driving Licenses Issued in Latvia Up 7.3% in Two Months

RIGA, March 4 (LETA) - The Latvian Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) issued 2,901 driving licenses in January-February 2019, up 7.3 percent against the same period in 2017, CSDD said.

Of all the driving licenses issued in the first two months of this year, 1,535 licenses were issued to women drivers, up 6.5 percent year-on-year, and 1,366 to men, up 7.6 percent.

As at March 1, 2019, there were 859,290 valid driving licenses in Latvia, which is an increase of 0.4 percent against the same period a year ago. Of these licenses 42.5 percent or 365,421...
