Number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals drops somewhat

RIGA, May 25 (LETA) - In the past 24 hours, the number of Covid-19 patients in Latvia's hospitals dropped from 172 to 167 people, the National Health Service said.

In the past 24 hours, 17 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospitals and 20 others were discharged.

Of the 46 patients that have been admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 as their main diagnosis, 39 have moderate symptoms and seven are severe cases.

Of the 3,205 Covid-19 tests carried out on Tuesday, 8.2 percent returned positive.
