Number of Covid-19 patients receiving hospital treatment drops to 245

RIGA, May 6 (LETA) - In the past 24 hours, the number of Covid-19 patients in Latvia's hospitals dropped from 359 to 245 people, the National Health Service said.

In the past 24 hours, 21 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospitals and 29 others were discharged.

Of the 75 patients that have been admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 as their main diagnosis, 66 have moderate symptoms and nine are severe cases.

s reported, another 314 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and nine persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 4,094 Covid-19 tests carried out on Thursday, 7.7 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 80 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 234 people were fully vaccinated.
