No significant changes in number of Covid-19 patients receiving hospital treatment

RIGA, May 27 (LETA) - The number of Covid-19 patients in Latvia's hospitals increased insignificantly, from 167 to 168 people, over the past 24 hours, the National Health Service informed.

Of the 41 patients hospitalized with Covid-19 as their main diagnosis, 35 have moderate symptoms and six are severe cases.

s reported, another 188 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and three persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 2,228 Covid-19 tests carried out on Thursday, 8.4 percent returned positive.
