New interior minister expects services to be ready to adapt their work to the actual situation

RIGA, May 27 (LETA) - Taking into account recent events and lessons learned, one of the most important tasks in the work of the interior sector is to adapt the work to the current national and geopolitical situation and be ready to take full responsibility for its actions, the new Minister of the Interior Kristaps Eklons told TV3 this morning.

He explained that every member of society must understand and be aware that we no longer live in such comfortable geopolitical conditions as before. The situation has changed both globally and nationally, and we must all be very responsible for every word we say, for every action we take, Eklons said.
