New Covid-19 cases grew 5.7% in Latvia last week

RIGA, Aug 1 (LETA) - In the week from July 25 to 31, the number of new Covid-19 infections in Latvia grew by 5.7 percent against the week before, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

Compared to the week before, testing increased by 7.1 percent, with roughly one in every three tests returning positive. Meanwhile, hospital admissions dropped by 16.7 percent last week.
