VILNIUS, May 9 (LETA--BNS) - Fighter jets stationed in the Baltic countries as part of NATO's air policing mission were scrambled six times last week to intercept Russian military aircraft and patrol the border with Kaliningrad Region and Belarus, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

Russian Il-20 attack aircraft was intercepted on Monday, May 2, an Il-20 and two Su-27 fighters on Tuesday, and an An-30 and an Il-20 on Thursday.
