NATO jets in Baltics scrambled twice over Russian military aircraft last week

VILNIUS, July 18 (LETA--BNS) - NATO fighter jets policing the Baltic airspace were last week scrambled twice to intercept Russian military aircraft flying in the international airspace over the Baltic Sea, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

Two AN-22 military transport planes were intercepted on Monday and Wednesday each.
