Muizniece agrees with Ukrainian parliament vice speaker on cooperation for inclusion of Ukrainian children in Latvian education system

RIGA, May 10 (LETA) - On Monday, the Minister of Education and Science Anita Muizniece (Conservatives) agreed with the Vice Speaker of Ukrainian Parliament Olena Kondratyuk on ways to jointly facilitate the inclusion of Ukrainian children living in Latvia in the education system, the Ministry of Education and Science told LETA.

Muizniece met with Kondratyuk on Monday to discuss the most topical issues related to the educational process of Ukrainian children and youth living in Latvia.

During her visit to Riga, the Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament also visited the Riga Ukrainian Secondary School, appreciating the existence of such a school in Latvia. She repeatedly emphasized the need for children and young people from Ukraine to learn the Latvian language and integrate into Latvian society as successfully as possible.
