Number of Covid-19 patients in Latvia's hospitals drops to 177

In the past 24 hours, the number of Covid-19 patients in Latvia's hospitals dropped from 198 to 177, the National Health Service informed.

In the past 24 hours, 11 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospitals and 24 others were discharged.

Of the 43 patients that have been admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 as their main diagnosis, 37 have moderate symptoms and six are severe cases.

As reported, another 164 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and seven persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 3,269 Covid-19 tests carried out on Tuesday, 5 percent returned positive.
