LTG Cargo, LOTOS Kolej pilot trains bring in cargo from Ukraine to Lithuania

A pilot train send by Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways, LTG), the country's state-owned railway company, almost three weeks ago is set to leave Ukraine for Lithuania.

Moreover, another train, sent by Polish railway company LOTOS Kolej, is also on its way to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda.

"The pilot train is already loaded in Ukraine and is now on the Polish side," Kotryna Dzikaraite, spokeswoman for LTG Cargo, told BNS.

Mantas Dubauskas, spokesman for LTG, says trip-related formalities are now being finalized, and once that is completed, the train will leave Poland. The train will carry various goods to Lithuania, the LTG representatives said, without specifying. They also could not say when the train would arrive in Lithuania.
