Lithuanian Presidency to Present Position of Eu Council At Ep

Minister of Finance Rimantas Sadzius, Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius, Vice-minister of Finance Algimantas Rimkunas and Deputy Minister for European Affairs Vytautas Leskevicius are attending the plenary session at the European Parliament in Strasbourg which commences today, the official Lithuanian Presidency website eu2013.lt says.

On 10 September Rimantas Sadzius, the Minister of Finance will present the position of the Council of the European Union on the European Banking Union along with its position on the Directive on credit agreements relating to residential property. The Foreign Affairs Minister Linas Linkevicius will address the issue of encouragement of the digital agenda for growth, mobility and employment and will deliver his statement on the threats to the freedom of the media and the surveillance of citizens. Deputy Minister of Finance Algimantas Rimkunas will address the issue of the EU budget for 2014.
