Fear of Publicity in Lithuania Raises Question - Advisor to President

On Tuesday, the amendments to the Law on the Adjustment of the Public and Private Interests in the Public Service initiated by Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaite were issued to the Seimas.

It is believed that the amendments will help to increase the transparency and to guarantee the society's right to get information about private interests and the made contracts by people working in the public service. According to Advisor to the President Rasa Svetikaite, the amendments initiated by Grybauskaite were arranged while keeping to the strict requirements of the protection of personal data.
