Lithuania Encourages Belarus, Eu to Develop Coop

Lithuania supports Belarus and its development and encourages the country to establish closer relations with the European Union (EU).

Such a position was expressed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrius Krivas at the seminar organized by the Nordic Council and the Baltic Assembly on Monday.

Krivas highlighted that Lithuania was related to Belarus form the perspectives of history and culture.

The deputy minister of foreign affairs encouraged Belarus to seek for the cooperation with the EU and highlighted that there was a necessity to stimulate the communication and cooperation between the citizens of the EU and Belarus.

Krivas expressed hope that during the period of Lithuanian's Presidency of the EU Council Lithuania Belarus would avail itself of the opportunity to participate in the Eastern Partnership initiative and that...
