Litgrid holds synchronous connection exercise for Baltic power system operators

VILNIUS, Aug 1 (LETA -- BNS) - Lithuania's electricity transmission system operator Litgrid held a three-day training in synchronous connection to continental European grids for power system operators of the Baltic countries.
The three-day live exercise also involved discussions and simulation of all stages of unscheduled disconnection from the post-Soviet IPS/UPS system and connection to the continental European grids, the company said in a press release on Monday.
