Level of construction costs increases 22% in Q2

RIGA, July 27 (LETA) - In the second quarter of 2022, compared to the second quarter of 2021, level of construction costs in Latvia increased by 22 percent, according to the Central Statistical Bureau's data.

Prices of building materials went up by 30.4 percent, maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment by 17.8 percent, and labor remuneration of workers by 9.2 percent.

In the second quarter of 2022, compared to the first quarter, the overall level of construction costs increased by 8.1 percent. Prices of building materials increased by 10.5 percent, maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment by 6.8 percent, and labor remuneration of workers by 4.3 percent.
