Latvian Women's Average Age At First Child 3rd Lowest in Eu - Eurostat

RIGA, March 12 (LETA) - In Latvia, women on average deliver their first child at the age of 26.9 years, which is the lowest average age at first child in the Baltics and third lowest in the European Union (EU), according to the latest data for 2017 released today by Eurostat.

The lowest average age of women at birth of first child in the EU in 2017 was recorded in Bulgaria (26.1 years), followed by Romania (26.5 years), Latvia (26.9 years), Slovakia (27.1 years), Poland (27.3 years), Lithuania (27.5 years) and Estonia (27.7 years).
