Latvian residents less active in supporting Ukraine than residents of Lithuania, Estonia - survey

RIGA, May 5 (LETA) - 42 percent of Latvia's residents have donated money, food and other goods to the people of Ukraine, while residents in the neighboring countries have been more responsive - 49 percent of residents of Estonia and 78 percent of residents of Lithuania have donated and provided practical support for the people of Ukraine, according to a survey carried out by Citadele Bank in April.

In Latvia, 29 percent of residents have donated money and another 13 percent have supported Ukrainians with food and other products. On the average, women 30 to 39 years old are the most active supporters of Ukraine.

In Lithuania and Estonia, 53 percent and 34 percent of residents, respectively, have donated money to Ukraine, while 25 percent of Lithuanian residents and 15 percent of...
