Latvian judicial system is among most innovative in the world - Levits

RIGA, May 20 (LETA) - The Latvian judicial system was able to adapt to Covid-19 challenges which proves that it is one of the most innovative systems in the world, said Latvian President Egils Levits at the judicial conference today.

The president believes that the judicial system in the world and the EU has learned a lesson in the past two years - that it has to be innovative and able to adapt to the existing challenges.

Levits underscored that the Latvian judicial system has been able to adapt to the Covid-19 consequences even without recommendations from the lawmaker as all courts successfully continued...
