Latvian fuel sales up 7% in five months

RIGA, July 27 (LETA) - With 535,446 tons of fuel sold in January-May 2022, fuel sales in Latvia rose by 35,028 tons, or 7 percent from January-May 2021, according to the data on excised goods released by the Latvian State Revenue Service.

The amount of fuel sold in retail trade increased 2.2 percent and the amount of fuel sold by wholesalers grew 21.8 percent. Meanwhile, sales of marked fuel increased by 8.2 percent year-on-year and the amount of fuel used for own consumption and other purposes was up 33.8 percent.
