Latvia's retail trade growth was stronger than EU average in March - Eurostat

RIGA, May 5 (LETA) - In March 2022, retail trade in Latvia grew by 13.2 percent against the same period a year ago, which is above the European Union's (EU) average figure, according to Eurostat's latest retail trade data on 24 of the bloc's member states.

Compared to March 2021, retail trade picked up in 16 EU member states reporting their data. The steepest retail trade growth in annual terms was recorded in Slovenia (25.6 percent), followed by Estonia (18.4 percent), and Malta (16.4 percent). Lithuanian retail sales grew 7.7 percent.
