Latvia's national debt decreased less than the EU average in Q1 - Eurostat

RIGA, July 21 (LETA) - In the first quarter of this year, compared to the corresponding period a year ago, the general government debt in relation to the gross domestic product (GDP) declined less in Latvia than in the European Union (EU) on average, according to the data of the EU statistical office Eurostat published on Thursday.

In Latvia, the government debt decreased by 2.6 percentage points in the first quarter in annual terms.
