Latvia's 12 higher education institutions record lowest number of would-be students in 3 years

RIGA, July 18 (LETA) - Latvia's 12 higher education institutions this year received 10,123 applications from would-be students, which is the lowest figure in the past three years, according to data available on Latvija.lv central and local government portal.

Registration for enrollment at Latvia's universities and colleges ended at 16:00 Monday.

Data from Latvija.lv suggest that the higher education institutions received 10,296 enrollment applications for the academic year 2020/2021 and 10,182 applications for the academic yar 2021/2022.

s of 17:00 Monday, 9,289 applicants had been enrolled for studies at the 12 higher education institutions.
