Latvia might send EOD experts and helicopters to Ukraine - Pabriks

RIGA, May 11 (LETA) - Latvia might send explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) experts and helicopters to Ukraine, Defense Minister Artis Pabriks (Development/For) told journalists Wednesday.

Next week, Pabriks is scheduled to visit Brussels where he will propose sending specialists to Ukraine to help the war-ravaged country dispose of explosive objects left in liberated territories.

The Latvian minister believes that it would be better if the decision on sending EOD experts was taken by several countries. If such a decision was made, Latvia would be among the first to offer such assistance.
