Latvia drug authority receives 41 compensation claims over side effects from Covid-19 vaccine

RIGA, July 18 (LETA) - The State Agency of Medicines has so far received 41 compensation claims from people alleging lasting side effects from Covid-19 vaccines on their health, the agency's spokeswoman Dace Keomege informed LETA.

In her words, the State Agency of Medicines is currently reviewing 15 such compensation claims. So far, no compensations have been paid out for side effects from registered Covid-19 vaccines in Latvia.

The State Agency of Medicines carries out the first examination of the compensation applications and attached documents. Within 15 weekdays, the agency assesses the applications for validity and compliance with requirements.
