Latvia confirms 622 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths in past 48 hours

RIGA, May 5 (LETA) - Another 622 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and three persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 48 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 6,166 Covid-19 tests carried out on in the last two days, 10.1 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 48 hours, 175 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 447 people were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population dropped from 383.7 to 304.7.
